We are proud to be the recipients of a $20,000 grant from Seeds of Change to support or educational programming, community outreach and hunger relief.

2014 Grant Accomplishments

Purchase and installation of Tri-County High School Garden shed for storing educational materials and supplies

Purchase of kid-friendly tools and supplies to enhance our farm animal and gardening education programs

Hiring of Staff to develop high quality educational programs

Hiring of Interns to support School to Farm Programming

2015 Grant Plans

Build Raised beds in the educational garden and community garden plots

Design and install a permanent educational sign tour on the farm

Print activity books designed by Memorial Middle School 4th grade students to promote farm education

Recruit and hire local experts to teach workshops relating to sustainable living

Support the marketing of our farm and programs to increase participation from our community

We are so proud.  Thank you everyone for your support in the past, as volunteers, CSA members, class participants, farm stand customers, event participants, supporters, board members and friends and neighbors.  We would not have received this grant if it were not for all the hard work we did in the last 6 years.  We are so excited to continue to promote sustainable agriculture and food justice in our community.
