Higher Education Partners
Medway Community Farm is happy to partner with your college or university. Below are some past examples of collaboration.
In the spring of 2013 MCF was selected as the corporate partner for Bentley's GB 320 Integrated Business Course. We worked closely with 6 faculty and 200 students who evaluated our organization, interviewed and polled members of our community, and did extensive research, which resulted in the creation of 36 Integrated business plans for MCF! The top 12 business plans were selected by the professors and presented to the MCF board.
In the Fall of 2013 a Georgetown University graduate student chose MCF as the subject for her Capstone Project in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Yasmin Sharif created a detailed and professional marketing plan for MCF which identified opportunities and clearly outlined a map to achieve greater outreach to our community through intelligent marketing.
Olin and Wellesley Colleges
In the Fall and Winter of 2012-2013 two students, Ben Chapman form Olin College and Carly Gayle from Wellesley College did an independent project building a passive walk-in cooler in the basement of the Farm Community Center at 50 Winthrop St. Ms. Gayle was awarded the Pamela Daniels Fellowship of $3000 to support the project. We were able to use the cooler to successfully store fall produce into the winter of 2014.
